Program your first quantum computer
The buzz about quantum computing has been rapidly increasing lately. A growing number of developers have been looking into the subject. Concept Developers typically find quantum bits (qubits), quantum gates, quantum entanglement (Einstein’s “spooky actions at a distance”), and quantum algorithms challenging when investigating quantum computing. In this session, James Weaver will give a gentle introduction to quantum computing. James will cover quantum computing, axioms of quantum mechanics, using the open source Qiskit quantum computing framework, fundamental concepts in quantum computing, and an introduction to quantum computing algorithms. Prerequisites, each participant must have: - A computer with Chrome browser installed Google account. - Software development experience. - Understanding of basic linear algebra concepts, for example multiplying a matrix by a vector (optional but helpful for the session).
