How deep learning is used to improve sleep
Sleep is essential for human well-being. Although the precise function of sleep remains a mystery, it appears that sleep primary benefits the brain: good sleep is essential for optimal cognitive performance and memory. The brain’s activity undergoes striking changes compared to that during wakefulness which can be explored, for example, through Electroencephalography (EEG) measurements of the sleeping brain. In this talk, we investigate strategies to use deep learning to quantify and improve sleep with EEG. In our investigation, we will focus on applicable solutions for real-world wearables.
