How to innovate after product market fit
Product market fit is not a destination, but an ongoing journey to satisfy and adapt to the market. This makes innovation a critical pillar to sustain your business in the long term. Although it sounds simple and obvious, it’s very challenging to continue innovating when your company has found success in a single product or offering. It’s often easier to double down on that success than to venture into new opportunities for growth. As a product person, how do you innovate within a company that is already successful? What are common myths? Best practices? Go’s and No go’s? I joined WeTransfer when they already had a successful product. I was given the goal to “create something new on mobile”. It was a huge challenge to pull away from the success of how we’ve always done things and innovate from within. I’d love to share what we’ve learned about innovating after product market fit.
